Two Bridges Re-Route Middle and Lower Sections Complete!

We are very excited to announce that the lower section of the Two Bridges re-route (shown under construction to the right) is complete, and has been opened to riders. The dirt on the lower section is still a little soft, so we need as many tires on it as we can get before the cross-country race on the 24th. Thanks to all the volunteers who gave their time and energy to work on this project, as the results are really top-notch. It really breathes new life into an old, trashed, rutted-out downhill, and can be summed up in one word: FLOW. It's got loads of it.

If you have not ridden the Two Bridges re-route, get out to Heritage and give it a test roll. It's a little bit of the North Georgia mountains in Oconee County!

Forums Scheduled for Downtime

The SORBA Athens forums on this site will be down for about a week from Saturday, May 17, to Saturday May 24, while we complete a website platform upgrade. No information or posts will be lost, but you will not be able to read or write posts while the site upgrade is taking place. Thank you for your patience and understanding. In the meantime, go ride the new Two Bridges reroute at Heritage!

New Trail at Heritage

The "Boy Scout" trail is now open for riding at Oconee Heritage Park. The new trail will serve as the trailhead once the parking lot is moved to its new location in the front field. The photo on the right was taken after a rainy January work party which cleaned out the trail corridor.

Beginner Skills Clinics starting in January

Come check out our monthly beginners' skills clinics starting in January. The clinics will take place on the 1st Sunday of each month at the UGA Intramural Fields and will be geared towards beginner riders wanting to develop their chops. A beginner-level group ride will follow each clinic.
